Regrettably, we will not be hosting the Our Ramara FunFest in June, 2010
Our Ramara FunFest 2009 ...June 6 -noon to 5pm at the Ramara Centre The fourth annual FunFest was a big hit in Ramara, offering events and activities for all ages. Kids enjoyed the races and games, the CN Safety Train, and free face-painting and balloons, as well as two inflatables. Adults were treated to the Byron Stiles band playing all afternoon, great vendor and non-profit displays, historical displays, and a dog obedience and perennial planter demonstration. A magic show by Ron Guttman entertained the whole family. On behalf of the FunFest Planning Committee, I'd like to thank all of our volunteers for helping make the day so much fun for our visitors. You all worked hard to bring this event to the residents of Ramara. And our appreciation, as always, goes out to the numerous sponsors of the event. Please view these sponsors on the FunFest page and offer YOUR thanks for making FunFest events all free or at low cost to the families of the township. Thank you!

The Our Ramara Coalition is discussing new projects which would be of benefit to our community. Any interested members of our community are more than welcome to attend a meeting and hear what we are all about. We meet the 2nd Wednesday of the month at the Days Inn, Ramara Room at 9:30 a.m. Please call Janet Banfield at 325-5776 for more information.
Just a reminder that we are still accepting new/updated FREE listings for the online directory. The community controls the success of this directory by ensuring they provide us with current information about their business/organization. Please pass the word along to anyone you know who may not be listed in this directory. The more listings we have, the better we can serve the community of Ramara! Finally, many thanks to the members of the Our Ramara Coalition. Your dedication and hard work as volunteers over the past 5 years has, and continues to, make a difference! We are a group of individuals who are interested in sharing information and resources, seeking funding for community projects and wanting to keep the community informed and included. We meet the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 9:30 a.m., and new members are welcome!
